"ONYX"---WildNWonderful-ApHC
Is a solid Appaloosa mare that holds all the Appaloosa genetics breeders dream of!! She comes from a long line of blankets and we believe she is EEaa, possibly homozygous for the blanket gene.
Onyx doesn't qualify for  the FPD standards today as she is only 43%, but we don't short her any!! She's a great Appaloosa mare that stands 15.2HH and has all the "halter" aspects we look for in a mare plus the Appaloosa genetics we feel is a must!
You can see her outstanding pedigree here.
Sugar is 80% FPD-Color Tested:

Win A KDJJ cap/visor and a "surprise"! good luck :)

by Darla Arrowood on 02/18/10

Hi all!!

With all the foals starting to hit to ground, I thought it would be fun to share my "excitable anticipation" (or insanity) of the 2010 expected foals here at KDJJ Appaloosas. Heres your chance to put your Appaloosa knowledge to test and WIN something if you're the one that guess's are dead on (or closest) on ALL four (4) mares bred to KDJJ VISION OF JUSTICE.

This is my first website blog...so be patient, Im learning :)  Mares are due starting the end of April and on through May 24th!

**Please put your name, city and state (website if you'd like!) on your entry.  You may enter only once-but can post as often as youd like! :)  Must be 18 years old or older. It may take up to 24 hours for your post to appear.

Please use the genetic terminology, as the ApHC registration terminology is too vague.  Here are "some" terms to help:

1. fewspot-white horse with "few spots"

2. snowcap-blanket with "no spots"

3. leopard-born nose to toes

4. near leopard-beyond a sharp edged spotted blanket extending toward shoulder and including barrel.

5. Solid-no characteristics of an Appaloosa

6. Spotted blanket- sharp edged blanket with spots throughout ranging in small to large on the rump.

7. snowflake-base coat color with "flecks" of white spots usually on the rump but can be throughout the body.

DONT FORGET TO CHECK JACKPOT!'S PAGE FOR STUDY AND COMPARISONS!~

Good luck everyone!!!   :)
